Training Seminar on “Human Rights at 70” 20th to 22nd December 2018 Noida (Uttar Pradesh)
Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India (CUCAI) in collaboration with Peoples UNESCO Club of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, organized a Training Seminar on the theme “Human Rights at 70”, from 20th to 22nd December 2018 at Panchsheel Balak Inter College, Sector-91, Noida, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar (Uttar Pradesh). About 100 UNESCO Club Leaders from 18 states in India and students attended the programme.
During the 3 days programme 10 Lectures/presentations on topics related to Human Rights, UNESCO and UN Programmes were delivered by the Guest Speakers. Students of Panchsheel Balak Inter college presented various cultural performances. Visits to Akshardham and Iskon Temples were organized.
Mr. Suresh P. Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Honorary President of CUCAI sent the video message and Mr. K. J. Alphons, IAS, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, conveyed best wishes for the event. Mr. Al-Amin Yusuph, Adviser for Communication and Information for South Asia and Dr. Neha Midha, National Professional Officer, Natural Sciences of UNESCO New Delhi Cluster Office for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka delivered lecture on UNESCO’s work on Universal Declaration on Human Rights (particularly article 19) and “Science, a Human Right” respectively. The Programme was covered by electronic and print media.
