Within the framework of the World Congress, a presentation of a publication on Clubs and Associations for UNESCO was held in the Republic of Korea
Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO successfully held a presentation of the publication “United by UNESCO: Associations and Clubs for UNESCO as a driving force for a sustainable future”, prepared jointly with the National Commission for UNESCO and ICESCO with the full support of the UNESCO Secretariat.
The event was held on October 26, 2023 in the Republic of Korea for foreign delegations who took part in the X World Congress of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO and was attended by more than 200 representatives of the movement from around the world, including employees of diplomatic missions represented in Seoul and the Government of the host Korean side.
More than 30 states, along with their National Commissions and Federations, invested efforts in creating this significant historical publication that emphasizes the role of clubs in promoting peace, tolerance, respect for cultural diversity, and support for sustainable development globally.
It is worth noting that this is the first historical publication of this scale, covering all periods from the emergence to the formation of the movement, which today is represented by more than 5,000 organizations and about 90 countries of the world.
The organizers are confident that the publication “United by UNESCO: Associations and Clubs for UNESCO as a driving force for a sustainable future” will serve as an integral resource and source of inspiration for young people and the public, encouraging active participation in the development of culture, science, and education.
Kazakhstan National Federation expresses gratitude to the general partner, the “Altyn Qyran Foundation,” for their invaluable support, contributing to global well-being and development.
